what a 500E is, but for those who don't, it was Mercedes' riposte to the E34 BMW M5 and the AMGs... car in the UK. Although it was officially offered as part of Mercedes' UK line-up, it was only available in left... -hand drive, which rather limited its sales appeal given the substantial £57k list price (a lot back... in the early 90s!). Accordingly, I believe less than 30 cars were ever officially sold in the UK
